There are many categories of music,it's considered as the universal "language".So what type of music you like listening too?For me,maybe classical and abit of pop.

Pop and Rock, don't really like Techno or Heavy Metal. too noisy already. Rock still ok, cause got base. the rest is a sore to the ears.
Classicals are also good....for sleeping. xD

Classicals more for when you are down. Sort of adds to the mood. Also for romance. Relaxing. Then listen to classical. But nowadays, teenagers think people who listen to classicals are dumb. LOL. ONly noisy songs are good. The noisier, the better.

nope not me, i find the so-called "older" forms of music like classical and romantic nice too. for example, works by Haydn and Debussy are quite nice, ive heard Haydn's "Surprise" Symphony, and not surprisingly, it does indeed have a surprise element in the 2nd movement, which i thought to be rather surprising (sorry for the idiosyncracy here) as it was a loud chord played suddenly amidst the other 'quiet' chords in the melodic line, and was never repeated again in that same movement. it is meant to be a sort of musical joke, but i know many of us will never find this funny. this does make lame people seem not so lame now doesn't it? lol

i listen to emo, rock, pop, punk, heavy metal, hardcore, metalcore & baroque, classical, romantic, 20th century ... during music lessons of course For me,maybe famous ones from the great master composers, like Vivaldi, because I need to play some of their songs,so listening to them would help me abit. But for me,I always listen to them in the car, without fail.Father is a music teacher, that's why.

I like chinese radio stations, some of the songs they play there are like the "most hits" or something. They have this board of songs, where they feature the top favourites. Those songs act as a reference for me,in case i am planning to purchase their albums.

for me, my reference comes from VictorV podcasts, in which the indie label Victory Records creates podcasts that are mainly dominated by music videos & ads for bands' CDs and merchandise in their content. for e.g. i saw the "Waking Up With Wolves" music video in one of their podcasts last year and i got so addicted to that song that i've sworn ever since to find that album and get it. a pity Power 98 doesn't play non-mainstream or indie music very often.

The impression of the type of songs might be different from one perosn to another.Like for example, techno, some people feel that only bengs listen to them and it's always those kind of sound that makes listening to it a pain. What do you think?Do you think that your impression of a type of song is different from others?

i just realised that emo + punk + some melancholy in music can be addictive. one such example is "Welcome To The Black Parade" by My Chemical Romance.
