When starting, with only 1 or 2 its still interesting. But its getting out of hand. Just because it isprofitable to Medaicorp, they are literally doing a show for EVERYTHING. Look for a cook also need audition and so many rounds of elimination? Crap man. Now, got too many that people cant be bothered already. And having it so often makes the community forget about the previous champion. During SG Idol 1, so many people suport Sylvester and Taufik, but now? Almost everyone forgot about them already. This is totally nonsensical la.

True, that's what it is.Entertainment is all about getting hot,or not.If you are hot, people buy your album and you get to make it big.But then for making this type of shows,I doubt there is really a motive for it,they might be doing things just for the fun of doing.Of course people will be attracted, but then all the good has been taken, what's left is just the left overs, you can still groom them, but how many can you groom?

They do it cause its proitable for them la. That's what everyone is after, profits, hence they do not care whether the consumers like them or not, they just do as they please, afterall, they will still benefit from the calls.

Yeah. But after sometime, they'll stop. Why? Because lesser and lesser people will entertain them. Only those young crazy fanatics which only scream, not vote. (Sorry)
Then, they are not really groomin people cause maybe in future got talents which needs seeking but cause not profitable they not hosting such talent search liao then its a waste isn't it? If they did it in moderation, they could go on for ages, developing talents every year.

But from their point of view,as a company, they would always find such things to air so that they could earn more money. There's one thing we don't know, where did the money of the votings go,we don't have a clear picture of it.

A portion of it to grooming the champion, to pay for all the expenses. And the remainder goes to the Mediacorp Fund. Don't forget the money they earn from advertisements too. THat'll go to the Mediacorp Fund as well.

They always have this revival round where the fans would try their best to push their idols back, seems like looks do count. And it's really a waste of time,if he/she is out, then so be it,why have revival rounds?

True, but everyone wants to be a superstar, but not many can make it.It's just like singing, you can sing in your toilet,I can sing in my room, but it does not equate that we both can sing on stage.
