My laptop (Toshiba) is currently spoilt and cant be used because the charger just screwed up. The wire came off and there's notinhg I can do to salvage it anymore. All I am thinking of is to either replace the charger or get a new one.
If I am getting a new one I will get the toshiba Qosmio. Tell me which is a wiser decision.

Toshiba spoil and yet to plan to buy back the same branding? Different model does not ensured you the quality. Im using lappy,M30 which cost me 3k ++. It's well-known to have problems like adapater, screen- graphic card and most common issue, harddisk. A friend of mine spoil his lappy(toshiba) after a year of usage. He was always the last to get his lappy to a complete halt COS IT LAGS and so on.. gd advise pal, do not get any brand like dell, toshiba (especially) or even acer(sis using acer and got screw up within 3 months). ps: if you're a home user, choose desktop over laptop. - zenakiien -

how about fujitsu? the hardware in their PCs and laptops are not top-grade, but they do have quality. i have a 2nd generation Fujitsu tablet PC which cost me $3000+, and although it is laggy and can't support graphics-demanding games like Doom 3 and Half-Life 2 without serioiusly lagging, it still plays WarCraft 3, StarCraft and Diablo 2 nicely.

I am thinking of Apple.

To Mr.Paper: The lag of the problem you stated is not caused by the branding of the machine. Instead, you should just make a trip to Sim Lim and ask for ram expansion for ur machine. The pricey range from branding to capacity of the upgrade so think wisely.
To Mr.Prince: Apple seems stable to me .. used it for a few months and it works beautifully but however, the interface of the GUI makes it a problem for non-frequent user and i would have suggest you to look over it to your liking before throwing your bucks in.

I deleted the folder containing the software to run the D drive I think. But anyway, the guy had such bad attitude and called me up to ask me whether or not I wanna get a Microsoft installation disk for an extra 200 bucks! Coz he didn't have any and he told my sis he'd install it for her. Stupid guy. And stupidly, he didn't reveal the brand of the hard disk and capacity. But I'm sure he'd reformated the laptop.

To Mrs Princess : Make sure you set the partition to different allocation and divide the memory spaces into the size you expect for each drive. That will work fine after you reformatted.
