oh srry srry i had meant to mean that you're still ultimately paying for the specs of an alienware PC afterall, and not mainly for the design. i just simply commented on the design in my previous post, that's all.

well bought-off-the-shelves PCs are gd in that you have a warranty. DIY PCs are risky as you built it yourself and thus if something went horribly wrong and you do not know what caused it, there goes your money... but, i do agree that alienware PCs are mainly for rich people (or geeky)

actually, i think that it has the word "alien" included in its brand name because its founders want to create the feeling that their custom-built PCs are "alien-like"; which means unique, when compared to the other ordinary PCs out there in the market.
