Greetings,
I have noticed that there is an average of 1 new member per day and I am glad that more and more people are aware of SGology but there is a problem. People come, people go. I realised that these new members, a majority of them just sign up, and they are never online again. This reflects badly on the site as new potential members might question. "How come this site has got so many members and yet so little post counts?"
Thus, by joining and leaving, you are causing new potential members to shun away from the site. Not that I am encouraging people not to join but we would greatly appreaciate it if members can remain active. I hope we don't need to constantly send emails, urging members to come back and post. Also, I often urge my staff not to go for a Mass Clearout which will remove inactive members, holding on to the hope that one day, they'll return to us.
Another thing, please, please, please DO NOT spam. Spamming is the worst thing that can happen to a forum. Although our forum now isn't exactly in a state of emergency, I hope members can have a control over themselves. In case you want to post but cant find a suitable topic, start one yourself. This way, there will constantly be new topics for members to post in everyday. DO not dig threads as well. If the thread is old, leave it. Start a new one. Starting a new thead is the best solution to any problems.
Last but not least, I hope members can have what they came here for - FUN. Have fun posting, guys!
Cheers, SGology

Dig old threads out or replying to dated threads should be dealt case by case. Bear that in mind. Prince do hold onto your patience. Involvement is a 2 way street. Even when there's a new member, do not expect them to post much immediately. Upfront asking for posting sounds weird and in fact desperate. You want to appear desperate?
You just did.
But don't keep it to heart. Remember, you had to wait for 3mins to cook your cup noodles. Patience is required.

I am desperate. LOL. Good to see you back though. I've been holding on to my patience ever since December last year. I don't think it'll last any longer.

What topics do you suggest? I have been going around and posting quite alot of topics, but there's something that we all should remember, and that is the amount of response,we can post threads, but then it takes 2 hands to clap,no point create then no one go and reply to it,hopefully some of these threads can help abit.

How do you suggest we get participation then? No,need advertising cause firstly, not much people might be attracted, secondly, people find it rather irritating. One possible way is to start with the circle of friends first, then slowly expand. If this has been tried, then one way is to get a heated discussion here first, just within the veterans, then from there, use it as a signature,go to other forums and then join in the discussion in there,if people see your threads and your signature and you are not advertising, they might drop by.These are just my thoughts. But no harm trying.

Will try to improve on things in V2. I won't suggest copying from other forums, cause in order to stand out from them, there is a need to be different, perhaps you can try to look at things from a bigger picture, don't be afraid to make mistakes, because that's what professionals do.
