I am sure this is a household name but I really need to know where the real one is located at. I haven't really went to eat the real Katong Laksa mainly because there are just too many imitation ones and I am rather irritated lately having to try all and see which is the first stall they have. Any of you tried before? I heard the noodles are short and chopsticks are not given. Cool!

Must be at Katong. That's precisely what I asked anyway but the thing is, there are too many stalls at Katong that sells Laksa with the name "Katong Laksa" and I hate to have to try everyone of them in order to get the genuine one. Anyone knows which is the authentic one?

I've been ther before. You'll know it when you see it. Can't remember the exact address. I know it was a corner stall. And if my memory serves me well, it was close to a 7-11. Though the 7-11 could have moved or something. It's acutally a small coffee shop. Not a shop on its own. Close to an aquarium too if I'm not mistaken.

Some imitations taste as good. Taste good? Possibly. But taste as good or better? Well, you go there try and you will know. I bet you that cannot compare.

Can't be better. If so, they should get their own brand instead of imitating the original one.

Maybe they got no creativity or no idea on what name thier laksa stall should be. Maybe Katong was a famous place or word last time.

Haha. Sorry but I think that's crap. LOL. They were lazy to start from scratch so they tried using an already established name.

Maybe all the Katong Laksa stalls are family.

What if the imitation taste better than the authentic one? Wouldnt everyone diverse their attention to the imitation instead? - zen -

well maybe it has become a franchise that's why there are katong laksa stalls all around? I go to the stretch of katong laksa stalls beside Katong Shopping Centre where Asteroids Cyber Cafe is located at. Yup the noodle is cut short and chopsticks are not given. the point is to just scoop with the sthingy, so there will be gravy and noodle. Heavenly. But very very sinful.
