Oh, I know what you are talking about. You saw those kind of CDs at Sembawang music store, right? I did too, and for example, last year i saw an Avril Lavigne CD priced at $9.90, and another one at $19.90, and i realised the difference is that the expensive one is the CD + DVD edition, whereas the cheaper one is the music CD alone. I found out from my friend (who is an Avril fan) later that the $9.90 one originally costed $19.90 when it 1st came out, and thus, you can safely say that the prices of normal album releases will drop if a newer, better edition comes out.

Think about this:
If there wasn't piracy, would the iPod have been invented? Would it even sell? If there wasn't piracy, would discmans still be the gadget of the century?

u download original music might as well download from limewire. most of the original songs end up on either limewire or morpheus, so no point, might as well buy the CDs. hardcopy is always better and a safer bet than a softcopy.

In some places, you risk downloading viruses and adware as well,I rather not take those risk and buy original. At least that could help the artiste stay "alive" in the music industry.

i can already name two places where you can get songs that have no virus or adware or trojan horse or worm or whatever computer-crazed-freaks-of-programming. (1) Purevolume - www.purevolume.com (this is definitely safe) (2) Limewire - so far, i've downloaded certain songs from here for sampling, and i've never gotten a single computer-crazed-freak-of-programming from here.

nah not really. buying CDs does waste quite some money, but think about it, if the mp3 songs on your com from that CD suddenly have problems, you can just simply rip them back into your com again instead of looking for sites to download them again. and, do not forget, many english music CDs tend to become more valuable as time goes by. I believe this is what they call killing two birds with one stone.

Limewire shares everything that is in the folder you decided to share with everyone. so if you put porn on your desktop and you change the shared folder from the default one to your desktop, then well............

It's interesting to see various views on the purchasing of Cds,I think it's really based on the choice. But hearing that some CDs worth much more in the future is an eye opener for me.

There are parallel imports from China.
My say is that PLEASE DON'T BUY THEM. Support our regional edition.
