I'm sure in all of you, there would be something you like and dislike,so do share your thoughts, among all songs, which are ur favs. And also do say why is it your fav.For me,I like songs that have great melody and good lyrics, some songs do not have catchy melody that's why it didn't end up in my list.

I like songs with meaningful lyrics like What Goes around comes around by Justin Timberlake. Which is about a girl dumping him for another guy and in the end, she herself got dumped too.
Also, I like touching songs like Listen by Beyonce. Powerful voice, touching lyrics, catchy melody = the BEST.

Some people prefer strong voices, like Mariah Carey,or Christina Aguilera, strong voices sings with power, and that's the power that would bring out the life in songs sometimes. But of course your song has to be catchy,it's like a hook to the fish, without a hook, you can never catch a fish.

and people like me love songs that have a pop-punk/emo-rock flavor to them, and the occasional touching song of course, like "Inevitable" by Anberlin, and the kind of dark rock songs like "Waking Up With Wolves" and "Living Expenses" by The Black Maria.
oh not to mention heavy and death metal too. i usually listen to these two genres for the GAY instrumentation.

Actually the type of songs you like might be different from those of other people, but songs can bring people closer. What I meant earlier on hook,it's something that most songs should have.Ask yourself what is it in the song that makes you want to listen again and again. If it lies in the melody, then most probably, there's this "hook" in the melody that captures the attention of people.

Songs with a goth influence. Been listening to this band called "Within Temptation" lately. They're Dutch but they can sure give Evanescence a run for their money. Like this song in particular. ClickDepressing but beautiful. Enjoy!

I think for those Jap fanatics, they might like Ayumi's song, some of her songs are rather good, like M,quite good, and the "hook" is there, with good vocals.
